Blueberry Picking. Kevin of course explaining to Cian all about blueberries. (I can't say enough what a great dad Kevin is. These little moments that he takes with Cian are so precious!)
Cian deciding again that he does not like blueberries. We were hoping that picking them himself, might change his mind. This kid is a struggle with food. I don't know where he gets it from. (Why is everyone looking at me?)
I love these colors together! My next room will be bluberry inspired!
O.K. Take a breath. It has been such a crazy summer so far, but it looks as if things will settle down now for a bit. Last week I finished the summer camp for our school. I ran it for two weeks, but it took a lot of prep work before that. Our themes were Robots the first week and Castles the second week. Cian had a great time as well as the other kids. I am glad it is over though. It always turns out to be more time consuming then originally thought. I have also left all of my "appointments" neglegted throughout the school year. I am paying for it now. I have seen so many doctors, dentists, hairdressers, etc. I usually enjoy the waiting room, a quiet place to sit and read a magazine, but lately I am ready to get in and get out. This is probably due to the fact that Cian is with me on my appointments now. I have asked my friends too much and Kevin is so busy at work(10-12 hr days and now weekends too...Deadlines are stinky!) that unless it is really necessary, I try not to ask him to take any time off. We are officially done with all of our obligations now. I have five weeks before the start of school to "relax". Keeping Cian occupied is a job in and of itself. He loves to do crafts and bake, I enjoy these things too. I hope that the weather warms up and we can enjoy the free pools in the area. Hopefully some of our conquests will be blog worthy! I will keep you updated on how we have kept busy.
On a side note, I came across a blog of a women who was in a horrible plane crash with her husband and survived after being in a coma for months. She writes a short letter after each blog entry to the person or people mentioned. I loved the idea! It really captured the underlying feeling of the author. I think I will try that occasionally. Here goes.
Dear Summer,
Please warm up so we can enjoy you more. Also, thank you for this time that I can spend with my son. I will forever cherish these little moments that make my relationship with him so sweet!
Love,
Erin
